Welcome to The Lone Star Post's Website

We are an All-American and All-State VFW post seated in the city of McKinney, Texas.  Aligned to our national VFW mission, The Lone Star Post exists to do the following:

UPDATE: VFW Lone Star Post 2150 will re-open for business at 3pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. It’s been a long, long dry time and we’re excited about being able to meet with y’all again. Another highlight will be our monthly fish fry beginning at 6pm on Friday, October the 16th.

About Our Post

Post Meetings

Post/Auxiliary Meetings occur on the Second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM.  The bar is closed down for the duration of the monthly meetings.

Smoke Free

Our post includes a smoke-free canteen with a separate smoking area to accommodate smokers.


The post has free Wi-Fi for members and guests.

Great Food

The third Friday of each month hosts a $12 all-you-can-eat Fish Fry! All other Fridays of each month hosts a Steak Dinner. On Steak Nights, there is a menu to order from if you’re not in the mood for Steaks.

Come On In!

Inside the post you will find a stage area, dancing floor, pool tables, shuffle boards, bar, pub style tables and chairs, and most importantly, great people!

The VFW has programs to care for the unmet needs of Veterans and Service Members, as well as that of their families.


The VFW has programs to help young, patriotic Americans between grades 6-12 earn scholarships for school.

Caring for Our Symbols

The VFW has programs that promote the proper handling, care, and respect of our national symbols like our flags, monuments, and songs.
