** September Commanders Update **

Greetings Comrades,

It’s been a tough summer for the post. The attendance has been way down and hopefully will start picking back up this month.

On September 5th , we have another Toys For Tots meeting. The Toys For Tots Motorcycle Ride is scheduled for December 7th and as usual we need
volunteers to make this successful. We are also looking for more sponsors.

Don’t forget that 9/11 is just around the corner, the Auxiliary is asking people to start bringing in nonperishable items to the post on 9/6. They will distribute these goods to the local Fire Stations on 9/7 starting at 9:00 am.

On 9/8, we are setting up a booth at Towne Lake here in McKinney. Its the McKinney Hero Run. They are expecting 500 runners for this event. We are setting up a booth and will be recruiting new members. We will be meeting at the post at 6:45 am.

We want to welcome back the Texas A&M Aggies Football Club. They will again this year with watch parties for The Aggies.

Last but not least, I want to once again thank all of our volunteers you keep us going.

Jim (Nick) Nichols
