** July Commanders Update **

Greetings Comrades,

We start off these comments on a very sad note, we have lost a dear and a very good friend to the Post, Michael Lieber. May he rest in peace, he will be sorely missed by all.
Now on a different note, I would like to introduce our newly elected officers for this coming year. Myself as Commander, Paul Zarate as Senior-Vice Commander, John Kelty as our Junior-Vice Commander, Gary Townsend is back as our Quartermaster, Ron Price is back as our Chaplain, Service Officer is James Akins, John Morgan as our Surgeon, Dave Hoch is our Adjutant and Judge Advocate, Mick Ferl is our One Year Trustee, Bruce Tiff is our Two Year Trustee, and Mark (Hippie) Stoddard is our Three Year Trustee.

I want to thank everyone that stepped up
In May, we made an agreement with the McKinney Rotary Club. The agreement is to put out 99 US Flags and pick them back up after the particular Holiday. There are 6 holidays in the year that we are committed. I want to thank our volunteers that have helped so for, we can always use more.

We are now planning for the 4th of July Parade in downtown McKinney. Anyone that wants to be involved, we will meet at Finch Park at 7:30 am on the 4th We are hosting the Bonham Vets on July 20th, we will be serving hamburgers starting at 11 am. Need volunteers.

Last but not least, I want to thank Jeff Miller for helping out in the kitchen He is our wingman on Wednesday nights Please check out our monthly calendar.
